The area«Every town or city is situated on a hill overlooking the valley, which today is a sea of green, and the hills opposite». We are in the Valdichiana, a wide valley running longitudinally from Arezzo to Chiusi. This fertile land, irrigated by the Canale Maestro della Chiana, owes its prosperity to agriculture and above all to vine growing. Medieval towns and art cities add to its charm: it is no coincidence that many Italian and foreign artists have chosen to live and work in this part of Tuscany. Arezzo, Cortona and Montepulciano are the most important historical, cultural and artistic centres with a heritage which goes back as far as the Etruscan civilization. The entire area is a large interactive museum in which to visit, enjoy and relive the past. It is also possible to observe and appreciate today’s artisans at work: this region is teeming with decorators, painters, ceramics artists, blacksmiths, glass workers offering a wide range of original artefacts, unique and typically "made in Italy".
